Contract Manager - Main Contractor
Internal & External Planned Maintenance - Property Services
Up to £75,000 + Package
My client, a national construction contractor, is currently recruiting for a Contract Manager to head up a long-term planned maintenance framework that they have won in London. All projects are within the M25, and you would be based out of their Head Office in North London.
The Role:
Within this role, you will work alongside the Contract Manager ensuring P&L, budgets, and deadlines are met. You will be responsible for ensuring the level of service and quality is to the highest standard as well as cost control, creating CPP & programming of works, and budgeting. Implement strong H&S across all projects. Your direct team will include site management, supervisors, RLOs, and subcontractors. You will report directly to the divisional director who will support you in making the contract a success.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have extensive building knowledge and experience managing planned maintenance contracts. Knowledge or experience in delivering retrofit projects is a bonus. You should have experience managing multiple site teams, strategically planning projects, and the ability to problem-solve in complex situations. A good knowledge of up-to-date legislation and strong organizational skills is also desired.
Having the ability to create a strong working environment, where everyone is working as a team to achieve targets and goals on the contract, as well as being able to build strong relationships with the client and your team members, is essential.
Minimum Requirements:
You must also have the following:
Strictly experience in internal & external planned maintenance schemes IT skills are essential, and you must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word Full UK Driving Licence Building or refurbishment-related qualification or demonstrable experience Health and Safety qualification required (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS) Level 3 Leadership & Management Qualification or equivalent or willingness to work towards Previous experience of working within the social housing sector Experience of working to schedules of rates and knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates Experience of managing teams of operatives Valid CSCS card (preferable) A minimum of 10 years' experience within the construction industry Be technically minded Full UK driving licence This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and reputable business.
