Purposeful work with genuinely good people. That's refreshing. We are seeking a talented and experienced Domain Architect to join our Architecture team, focusing on the Customer and Field domain . This critical role is responsible for shaping and maintaining the IT architecture that enables the efficient and secure delivery of electricity to consumers. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional business and IT teams, collaborate with senior executives, and drive innovation while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
As a Domain Architect, you will be a trusted advisor and key collaborator, providing architectural leadership to deliver high-quality solutions that support our business objectives. You will contribute to the overall IT architecture strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability across the Customer and Field domains while considering broader enterprise architecture requirements.
With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is a permanent full-time position and is based in Southbank, Victoria and is part of the Digital and Technology team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Contribute to the development of the IT architecture strategy, aligning it with the company's vision and long-term goals. Collaborate with senior IT leaders, business units, and executives to understand strategic priorities and translate them into IT goals and roadmaps within the Customer and Field domains. Design and maintain the enterprise IT architecture within the Customer and Field domains, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security across domains. Establish, promote, and uphold architectural standards, policies, and best practices that foster agility, scalability, and resilience. Identify opportunities to optimise resources and reduce costs within the Customer and Field domains and across other domains (e.g., application consolidation, IT spending, resource utilisation). Partner with business units, operations, and engineering teams to understand requirements and design effective architectural solutions. Identify and mitigate risks related to IT architecture, cybersecurity, and data privacy within the Customer and Field domains. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT architecture, including hands-on design and implementation. Experience with customer systems and field mobility solutions is highly preferred. Strong understanding of architectural concepts, principles, and practices, with the ability to align IT strategy with business objectives and delivery outcomes. Proven ability to develop and champion a strategic vision for digital enterprise architecture. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and soft skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across business units. Experience in facilitating cross-functional collaboration and driving alignment between business and IT strategies. Emergency Response: Customers and community are at the heart of everything we do.
