About the role: Due to high demand in Aurizon rail linehaul services, a position has become available due to Aurizon's expanding customer demand. Reporting to the Customer Delivery Leader, this role is directly responsible for coordination and optimisation of the use of resources and assets to deliver efficient services and outcomes for Customers. We are seeking an experienced coordinator to ensure that our customers' logistical needs are not only met but exceeded.
Coordinate the provision of total logistics service packages and relevant IT systems. Manage customer account enquiries and issues including orders, variations, and network incidents. Review and analyse cost recoveries from customers. Monitor and manage customer compliance and expectations. Build and maintain customer relationships. Coordinate all activities as required by the customer. Maintain necessary interface with relevant maintenance groups to ensure satisfactory servicing levels. Manage all supply chain service planning, providing the customer with a single point of contact for these matters. Actively develop customer relationships to improve the customer's perception of the business as a superior service provider. You will: As a valued member of the Aurizon Gillman SA Depot, you will oversee the coordination and development of train operations and rolling stock maintenance work plans, utilising effective scheduling to deliver customer, business, and compliance requirements to support efficient outcomes.
You are: A proactive coordinator with the ability to influence internal & external stakeholders. Qualifications in supply chain, asset management, project management, planning/scheduling or commercial/business studies or practical experience. Preferably you have a thorough understanding of Melbourne networks and/or an understanding of Bulk Supply Chain delivery performance principles.
Specific skills: Extensive knowledge of rail logistics, train scheduling and associated rolling stock/operator requirements to meet above and below rail requirements. Deep understanding of the fundamentals of the rail haulage industry, with logistical background in traffic flows, crewing, and rail facilities. Proven high level of leadership skills in a multi-disciplinary environment. Substantial level of analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills. High level of communication skills in providing clear and succinct verbal and written information. Extensive knowledge of Third-Party Networks operators, National standard frameworks, regulations, and procedures relating to the operation of trains, terminals, stations, and yards.
