About the opportunity The Victorian Government is upgrading the Eastern Freeway with new express lanes, new traffic management technology and Melbourne's first dedicated busway. These changes will slash travel times and improve public transport in Melbourne's east.
Laing O'Rourke is part of the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance with Major Road Projects Victoria, Symal, Arcadis and WSP. Our scope of work includes a new interchange connecting the Eastern Freeway to the North East Link tunnels, major road and bridge upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road, smart traffic management technology upgrades and new noise protection to meet Victoria's toughest traffic noise standards. The local community will also benefit from new and upgraded walking and cycling connections, upgrades to Koonung Creek Reserve and revitalised wetlands and open spaces.
About the role We are currently seeking an Auditor to join us on the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance.
Key responsibilities Adherence and implementation of the EBTA audit schedule, you will have the ability to influence and schedule audits for efficiency, requirements, risk and lifecycle.Report to the Audit Manager on compliance and trendsAssist in the implementation of the Quality Management Sub-Plan and associated plans.Implement and improve upon the EBTA Audit procedure and process.Schedule, Plan, Prepare, conduct (or support), report and follow up on audits as required by the Quality Management Sub-Plan, this involves both Governance as well as process and product audits.Follow up corrective actions and drive the audit reports to be closed in a timely manner.Write up audit reports and send for Audit Manager review in a timely manner.Travel to suppliers and site-based locations when required.Liaise with all teams on the Alliance with regards to audit notifications and effective closeout of items identified for action.Assist in the compliance and auditing functions for other teams within the Alliance.Assist in the presentation and compilation of material when required for audits being carried out on the Alliance.Participate in Quality forums and Alliance based training events when required.Assist in the compilation and actioning of the monthly Quality Reports and dashboards.Educate and support the Project Delivery Team with a key focus on corrective action communication and lessons learned.This role reports directly to the EBTA Audit Manager.About you Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar, Cert of Attainment in Quality Management, Asset Management or equivalentSound experience and competency as a Lead auditor for Management Systems in the Construction Industry, preferably large infrastructure projects.Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, Industry Codes and Procedures.Strong interpersonal skills particularly stakeholder consultation and subcontractor collaboration.Benefits We work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
