Duties of an Aston TA/ Mechanical TA: Assist Machinists, Welders and Mechanical Fitters Assist and learn to work on industrial CNC machines Operate machinery including gantry cranes & forklifts to move equipment across the workshop Support welders and boilermakers and upskill to become a 2nd class welder Spray painting of parts & equipment Maintaining health and safety standards of the workshop $32 – $38/hr + Super To be successful you will be required to have: 6 months previous experience as a TA Must have worked on the tools in a manufacturing plant Had exposure to welding, roll forming, machining or gantry cranes Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Good mechanical aptitude and wanting to progress Forklift licence is essential Starting Pay Rates: $32 – $38/hr + Super | 8- 10 hour days Come and join our Aston TA JobFit Challenge to find out more what it means to be an Aston TA, your career progression and current available opportunities.
