Position Title: Assistant Manager QHSE
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the safe and efficient operation of assigned ships, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Analyze risks and ensure adherence to the International Safety Management (ISM) Code and classification rules.
Ensure compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO), statutory, and ISO requirements.
Conduct audits and manage certification renewals, ensuring ships maintain their class.
Monitor compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage ship operating costs.
Conduct crew appraisals, endorse crew assignments, and provide training on policies and procedures.
Investigate incidents and non-compliance reports, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Maintain relationships with clients and manage information exchanges regarding ship status.
Preferred Experience:
Class I Master Certificate of Competency (Unlimited).
Minimum 5 years sailing experience as a Marine Deck Officer, with at least 1 year as a Senior Marine Deck Officer.
