About the role We are seeking an experienced and motivated lawyer to join our growing NSW Wills & Estates practice, based in either our Sydney or Newcastle office.
This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional with at least 3 years' experience in wills, estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation, to contribute to the ongoing growth of the practice.
You will work closely with and be mentored by one Special Counsel, within a larger team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Drafting and updating wills, trusts, and estate planning documentsDrafting advice to clients on estate planning matters and will and estate disputesAssisting the Special Counsel in all aspects of wills, estate planning and estate administration including representing clients in will and estate disputes, family provision claims and other equitable matters, and applications for judicial adviceBuilding and maintaining strong client relationshipsThis is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your expertise in a supportive, collaborative environment with opportunities for career growth.

About you You are a dedicated lawyer with at least 3 years of experience in Wills and Estates work.
You are passionate about helping clients plan for the future and navigate complex legal processes with empathy and clarity.
Key qualifications and skills:
3+ years of experience in Wills, Estates, and Trusts lawStrong drafting skills, particularly in drafting wills and estate planning documents (i.e.
enduring powers of attorneys, enduring guardianships, trusts and advance care directives)Proven ability to manage deceased estate matters including, applying for a grant of probate /letters of administration and attending to the administration and distribution of estatesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently while being a team playerStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsPositive, proactive and flexible attitudeIf you're looking for a challenging and rewarding role with a firm committed to client service and professional development, we'd love to hear from you.
