The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Criminal Trial Division of the Supreme Court of Victoria.Duties include:Preparing research and briefing memoranda and assisting in the production of judgments, papers and presentations, including proofreading and editing;Performing administrative tasks, including maintaining court records and preparing material for use by the Judge in court;Speaking in court - empanelling juries, taking verdicts and arraigning the accused;Liaising with court staff, the public, the media and the profession;Accompanying the Judge to circuit courts in regional Victoria, as and when required.About YouAn individual with at least one year's post-graduate experience in criminal law is required. Excellent writing skills and strong academic credentials are essential.
