We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious corporate real estate lawyer at Associate level to join our highly successful team dealing with the full spectrum of real estate transactions. Your work will span capital transactions, complex development projects of various asset classes including mixed-use precincts, renewables and build-to-rent, real estate joint ventures, and complex AFL and leasing.
Our client base has grown significantly in recent times and we are seeking proactive people with strong experience to join us.
You will work closely with highly experienced and well-respected Partners Anthony Poynton, Carla Deluca, David Chin and their team. You will also have the opportunity to work with lawyers across our National Real Estate practice. The team is dedicated to the training and development of all team members, and will upskill you in the areas you may not yet have extensive experience in, or the areas you have a desire to learn.
What you needWe welcome applications from real estate lawyers with 3-7 years PQE with experience in a reputable real estate team. We may also consider corporate / M&A candidates who have experience in corporate real estate transactions wishing to branch into real estate transactions and development projects.
You will have:a commercial approach to all matters and an understanding of the real estate industry;excellent business acumen and a desire to strengthen and build client relationships;superior drafting ability and a strong attention to detail;the ability to work in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment;excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; andresilience and a commitment to excellence that matches our own.Our teamThe Melbourne Real Estate team is a large, collegiate team with a commitment to achieving excellence in all that we do. When working on matters, we aim to see the world through our clients' eyes, to intimately understand the nuances of the deal, the many issues and complexities it presents and how best to solve for these.
Our clients are sophisticated and savvy, ranging from developers, investors, owners, landlords, property fund managers through to governments and statutory bodies both local and international. We work collaboratively and seamlessly with our colleagues across MinterEllison's many practice groups and offices, especially Tax, Finance, M&A and commercial litigation.
