In this vital role, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the unit or team.
Your key responsibilities will include promoting continuity and consistency of care, while collaborating with other ANUMs and the NUM to implement practice changes that drive excellence in patient outcomes.
You will also be a central figure in helping the NUM with day-to-day management tasks such as staffing, rostering, performance management, and the oversight of resources and financial planning.This role offers an exciting opportunity for a nurse with leadership aspirations to gain hands-on experience in the management of clinical and operational processes.
You will actively contribute to the smooth running of the unit, supporting recruitment, leave management, work allocation, and the monitoring of financial and supply needs.

In this role, you will bring your expertise in mental health nursing and leadership to support a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
Registered Nurse with current practising certificate and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).Proven leadership abilities, with strong communication, conflict resolution, and change management skills.At least three years post-registration experience, with demonstrated competence in complex mental health care.Commitment to professional development, fostering staff potential, and upholding quality care standards.
