Every Patient Matters.Job DescriptionBased at Epworth Freemason Maternity Hospital in East Melbourne, you will be responsible for supporting the Midwife Unit Manager and assisting in the overall clinical management and team leadership of the 34 bed Post Natal unit.In addition to the Post Natal unit, our Maternity Services department consists of 9 birth suites, 10 special care nursery cots and a 4 bed hospital in the Park Hyatt Hotel and currently accommodates approximately 3,000 births per annum.We are open to both full time and part time (minimum 3 shifts per week) applicants, and are interested in speaking with individuals who have been working as an RM and are now seeking a leadership opportunity. You will have the full support of the Maternity Services Manager, and the wider Epworth team.You will make an impact by:Being part of the Leadership Team that focuses on delivering exceptional patient, family and staff experience while achieving high-quality clinical outcomesLeading the team through positive role modellingBeing highly accountable, respectful, supportive and engagingLeaning into the Midwife Unit Manager responsibilities where and when neededTo be successful in this role…You will either be in an ANUM/AMUM role or looking to step into a fantastic leadership role. You are a good communicator, flexible in your approach and have a natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients and their families.
