Women's and Children's Health Network, Paediatric Emergency Department – North Adelaide (5006) Salary Classification - Classification - RN/M2A - Associate Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager LV2 - $100,343 to $107,279 pro rata Part Time 0.84 FTE - Term Contract (up until 28 March 2025) About the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Emergency Department  as Associate Nurse Unit Manager, where you will be responsible for: Encouraging team environment, which promotes positivity, learning and development, safety and welfare of employees, acknowledges cultural and personal differences, and encourages creativity, innovation and honesty.
Development of partnerships both internal and external to support quality patient needs and outcomes.
Maintenance of individual professional development portfolio and competencies within current role.
Continuously reviewing existing practices and implementing change where required.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Experience in the supervision of student nurses, assistant in nursing, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
Demonstrated ability to relate to people from a diverse range of cultural and social backgrounds.
Ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve positive outcomes.
About Us The Paediatric Emergency Department (PED),  located within the Women's and Children's Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and sees over 45000 patients annually and is the State's Major Trauma Service for Paediatrics.
There is an attached 12 bed Emergency Extended Care Unit (EECU) with over 5000 admissions annually.
Our newly developed and upgraded department was designed closely with staff, consumers and stakeholders to meet the needs of our patients and allow our staff to continue to provide the highest standard of emergency care to children from across the state.
