This is an exciting opportunity to lead a committed team while making a positive impact on the lives of our residents.About the Role:As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide crucial support to the Nurse Unit Manager, leading a team of Nurses and Care Workers to ensure the highest standards of care. Your key responsibilities will include:Promoting continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with the nursing team.Assisting in implementing practice changes to enhance service delivery.Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager with ward/unit management tasks, including performance management, recruitment, staffing, leave management, and financial planning.What We're Looking For:Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current practicing certificate.Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.Proven experience in supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant computer applications.Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritize workloads under minimal supervision.Creative and flexible approach to addressing challenges in the healthcare setting.Understanding of relevant legislation, standards, codes, and competency frameworks.Knowledge of Quality Improvement Systems applicable to healthcare settings.Awareness of contemporary nursing/midwifery and healthcare issues.Why Join UsMake a real difference and feel like an important part of the community.
