THE ROLE At JD Sports, our customer is at the heart of everything we do. As an Associate Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the management team to lead, develop, and inspire your team to deliver great in-store customer experiences and achieve business success.
In this role, you will develop your skills and gain insights into customer experience, store operations, commerciality, and people leadership at JD Sports. Importantly, you will partner with an experienced store management team and learn how to apply your management skills and experience to deliver results.
The Associate Manager role provides the opportunity to be coached and trained in the JD way, supporting your readiness for the next step in your JD career journey as Store Manager.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Partner with your Store Manager to deliver store resultsLead by example, role model desired leadership behaviours for your teamTrain, mentor, and coach the team working towards both personal and business goalsLead Back of House and sales teams ensuring efficiency in process and operationsProblem solve providing solutionsAnalyse reports and provide recommendations on how to grow the store in line with our visionProactive approach in loss prevention and partnering with visual merchandising teams to make commercial based decisions regarding stock presentation and placementWHO YOU ARE An experienced and versatile retailer with a minimum of 3-5 years' management experience in a flagship retail environmentExperience in training, coaching, and developing team membersLearned experience in successfully driving and exceeding set KPI'sExperience in effectively managing rosters and wage controlExperience using financial reports or data in operations/ decision makingElevated level of written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage competing priorities, tasks, and overall expectationsWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
