Level A About the Role The Associate Lecturer in Rural and Remote Health (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health) will be responsible for contributing to the preparation and delivery of the College's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health topics.
This includes development of teaching materials, delivery of lectures/tutorials or other innovative teaching and learning strategies, examinations and placement education with cultural context.
This position will have a focus on the Medicine (MD Program) and may also contribute to multidisciplinary placement education.
About You To be successful in this role you will exhibit:
Completion of 4 years of tertiary study or equivalent qualifications and experienceEvidence of making a contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching at the discipline level, including involvement in curriculum development and teaching methodologyExperience applying innovative approaches to pedagogy and/or curriculum designCapability to engage with e-learning platforms for teaching purposesDemonstrated experience in communicating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, key stakeholders, and their representatives to achieve positive outcomesFamiliarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health issues and an understanding of the social determinants of health as they impact Indigenous Australians.Level B About the Role The Lecturer in Rural and Remote Health (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health) will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across the College's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander topics.
This position will be responsible for making an independent contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching using innovations in teaching practices and technologies to deliver excellence in teaching and placement education with cultural context.
This position will have a focus on the Medicine (MD) Program and may also contribute to multidisciplinary placement education.
