Corporate trust supports clients locally and overseas with a unique offering through five key service offerings: Debt Market Services; Managed Fund Services; Perpetual Asia, headquartered in Singapore; Perpetual Digital, which provides data services and software-as-a-service products; and Laminar Capital, which provides fixed income dealing, treasury and advisory services to government organisations, superannuation funds, local councils, ADIs, not-for-profits, wealth managers and sophisticated investors.
As the Associate within Governance and Oversight in Managed Fund Services, you will be responsible for providing support to the business to deliver an effective and best in class Outsourcing Framework which manages the businesses risk exposures.
About the role As an Associate at Perpetual Corporate Trust, you will:
Assist with completion of enhanced testing projects across key risk areas to assess any risks or improvements to service provider systems, processes and controls
Review questionnaires from Service Provider Monitoring reviews across our Investment Managers, Custodians and Administrators to identify the Responsible Entity/Trustee's risk exposures and assess whether the service provider is within Perpetual's Risk Appetite.
Daily review of system and complete on-going questionnaire's awaiting action and follow up to providers to complete outstanding questionnaire's
Assist with reporting to Management, the Governance, Risk and Compliance Committee and the Board on the risks identified through the Service Provider monitoring measures and actions being taken by the service provider or Responsible Entity /Trustee to manage those risks
Assist with discovery and investigation of incident/breaches issues caused by service providers.
Develop and maintain good understanding of Perpetual's requirements, risk appetite, managed funds and service providers.
Develop and maintain good & effective relationships with service providers and internal stakeholders.
Act in accordance with Perpetual's goals & values 
Involvement in ad-hoc projects as required.
About you Law/Business/ Accounting/ Economics degree required
Minimum 1 years' experience in Financial Services, with exposure to managed funds, investment management or third party oversight. Would suit someone in compliance, risk, audit or an operational role.
Have a good understanding of the service providers operations for managed investment schemes and the legal, regulatory and compliance and risk frameworks in place that govern managed investment schemes
Previous experience with managing projects will be highly desirable
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
