The Role We are seeking to engage an Associate Engineer for our Power & Energy Team in Townsville.
In this role you'll be responsible for providing the design engineering knowledge and effective project management skills to support the ongoing activities of a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, undertaking varied Engineering tasks of limited scope and complexity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage risk on substantial projectsDeliver best client outcomes which have provided cost savingsEffectively lead small teams and contribute to building the technical capability of othersDevelop client relationshipsProvide advice and undertake key complex technical tasks with a high degree of independence across a broad range of small, medium and some large projectsSuccessfully monitor and manage the scope and risk of multiple varying size projects and apply business systemsPrepare complex technical reports and successful proposals on small, medium and some large projectsUtilise good time management skills with the ability to efficiently plan workloads and meet deadlinesEffectively work across a variety of projects learning and applying new skills and knowledge quickly and efficientlyEffectively manage client relationships and expectationsProvide supervision to other staffEffectively engage key stakeholders to result in superior project outcomes which meet or exceed client expectationsAbout You Suitable applicants will be/have: Tertiary Qualification in Electrical EngineeringRelevant professional industry experience in design of Power & Energy projectsAbility to interpret and communicate information of a complex natureClient service orientationProven ability to manage projects to scope, cost, time, human resources, communication, procurement, quality and riskCompetent business planning, budgeting and commercial acumenAn understanding of the business/organisation/marketing context of business solutionsWell-developed consulting skillsMaintaining an industry awarenessFamiliar with relevant Australian Standards and specificationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environmentSkills in undertaking a co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environmentHow to Apply All applications must be submitted online.
