Associate Ecologist, Senior Associate EcologistYour new role as an Associate Ecologist/Senior Associate Ecologist with Lathwida
Our new Associate, or Senior Associate Ecologist will provide advanced technical skills and professional leadership.
The role will include project management and business development opportunities on ecological projects within our South Australian team.
Primary responsibilities will include supporting the delivery of high-quality ecological aspects within the strategic bigger picture of Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Regulatory Approvals.
Additional responsibilities will include identifying, sourcing and winning opportunities through existing client relationships, or through building strong relationships with our existing and new clients, and leading and/or writing ecology-focused proposals.
Our new ecologist will lead and contribute to the delivery of terrestrial ecology projects; provide people management, guidance and supervision with, as well as undertake, flora and fauna assessments, including desktop assessment; deliver quality technical reports; undertake technical review of terrestrial ecology reports/deliverables where delegated; mentoring and supporting our team.
GIS spatial skills are also highly regarded.
Your technical skills A minimum of 8 years post-graduate ecology-based experience, preferably gained within a consultancy environmentTertiary qualifications in ecology or equivalentStrong, respectful and effective communication with our team, clients and regulatorsWell-developed technical ecological knowledge and experienceEcology survey experience, including the ability to plan and coordinate ecology field teamsAble to operate independently, and as part of a collaborative teamPromotes a positive culture and safe working environmentWell-networked across industry, and able to generate and pursue opportunities.Who we are Lathwida Environmental is a small South Australian company of environmental specialists who are passionate about quality and getting the best outcome for our clients and their stakeholders.
