About the RoleThis role is responsible for managing the Bank's high risk and impaired assets. This role needs to balance obtaining the best financial outcomes for ANZ; reducing Risk Weighted Assets (high risk and impaired assets); treating customers fairly and ethically; and managing reputational risk.
Role Type: Permanent, Full time (40 hours per week)
Role Location: Preferably Perth, however location will be assessed for the right applicant
What will your day look like?As an Associate Director, you will focus on:
Continued reduction in the $value of the Bank's impaired assets; actively manage and/or reduce/exit the accounts that are in Lending Services and longer dated files that have been there for 2 years or longer.Managing provisions within expectations such that there are no surprises and minimizing loss to the business.Minimising the reputational damage to ANZ of our work.Working within our Agri Principles.Keeping stakeholders within the Bank adequately informed.Generating revenue for ANZ wherever possible.Improving efficiency.Building a shadow function that is highly respected bank wide and earns Lending Services the title of 'Trusted Advisor'.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Extensive experience within Banking/Financial services industry with broad knowledge of banking products.Proven experience in demonstrating sound credit judgement in significant transactions whilst in a senior Lending Services or Relationship role.Strong credit and analytical skills.Experience working with all levels of Banking stakeholders.Proven experience in client facing meetings which are typically dealing with distressed Agri clients.Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills.Loan workout experience will be well regarded but not essential.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
