About the role The Associate Director, Data Operations and Reporting is a leadership role responsible for overseeing data processing, reporting, and tourism analytics to support Destination NSW's strategic objectives. You will manage a high-performing team, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and user-friendly data insights that inform business decisions, monitor market trends, and support NSW Government and industry stakeholders. This role combines operational leadership, project management, and financial oversight to optimise reporting processes and digitalise data operations, contributing to enhanced organisational performance and informed decision-making.
About You You are a strategic thinker with substantial experience in tourism data, its analysis, interpretation, and reporting, paired with the ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner. You have a strong understanding of data analysis frameworks, technologies, and government reporting requirements, including privacy and procurement standards. With a background in analytical or behavioural science, or equivalent professional experience, you excel in using data to drive strategic planning and decision-making. Your collaborative approach and operational expertise enable you to lead and innovate in delivering timely, accessible, and impactful data solutions aligned with the Visitor Economy Strategy 2030.
