You'll be using software development best practices to create reusable and extensible codebases.You'll be a trusted member of our multidisciplinary Agile team, offering your own experience and insights to projects and learning from others in the data science and wider digital communities in DWP.Your essential skills and experience:Academic background in Data Science, Maths, Statistics, or Computer Science, or equivalent Data Science-related experienceHands-on experience using data science to solve problems or improve established processesStakeholder management skills and experience working with colleagues to understand their requirements and deliver complex analytical projects in a timely mannerAbility to communicate results to a range of audiences, translating technical concepts into non-technical language where necessaryUnderstanding of a range of data science techniques and the ability to apply these to practical situationsAbility to explore, combine, and transform data from across disparate sourcesExperience writing code in R, Python, or SQL.Details. Wages. Perks.You'll be based in your choice of one of our brilliant digital hubs in either London or Leeds, whichever is most convenient for you.We also have all the tools and tech to work flexibly. We operate a hybrid working model.
