The firm is looking to appoint a talented Corporate Lawyer / Associate level to join their Corporate & Commercial team to work closely with very approachable Partners and Lawyers and focus on not-for-profit and community-related corporate matters.
About this role... With proven expertise in corporate matters, this role offers direct involvement with key clients across the not-for-profit, health, disability and aged care sectors with a focus on:- mergers & acquisitions not-for-profit mergers and amalgamations; develop and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements; advise on major governance reforms, corporate governance issues, business structures and restructures; assist with health professional administrative appeals; develop and review governing documents; and business development and marketing.
About you... To be successful in this role it is envisaged that you will have a min.
of 4 years post admission experience in a similar role, with a recognised Commercial law practice.
You will also be able to demonstrate:- excellent drafting skills and attention to detail; outstanding communication, business development and networking skills; ability to guide & mentor those around you who are less experienced; initiative and ability to work independently; and strong critical thinking skills and commercial nous.
Experience in the health care , not-for-profit , aged care and disability industry sectors would be highly valued .
