The team is led by two experienced and highly regarded Joint Heads of Class Actions and assisted by a dedicated team of Practice Leaders, Special Counsels, Senior Associates and other legal professionals. The OpportunityThis is a great opportunity for an experienced personal injury or commercial litigator to join an established Class Actions team as an Associate. Whether you've come from defendant or plaintiff practice, you will have the opportunity to take a leading role on prominent cases, including contributing to case strategy, expert evidence and investigations into new class actions. With mentorship from a team of highly experienced class actions practitioners, including a Melbourne-based Special Counsel, you will have an ideal balance of autonomy and guidance. With compassion, connection and purpose, you'll be a true champion of our clients by:Working closely within our Class Actions Leadership Team, you will provide the representation our group members need and deserve to obtain maximum compensation with velocity and efficiency.Taking a leading role on new investigations on class actions, with guidance of an experienced class actions' Special Counsel.Cultivating strong relationships with our clients, peers and other stakeholders through exceptional communication and clear management of expectations.Developing a proficiency to originate, assess, investigate and secure funding for new class action opportunities.What you'll bringTo thrive in this role, you will:Significant experience as a solicitor with commercial litigation and/or personal injury experience.Experience in class actions, either pre or post-admission, is desirable but not essential for success.Have an innate ability to question, challenge the status quo and always stay ahead of the pack.Be a great communicator both verbally and in writing.Be committed to truly connecting with those around you and working together to deliver exceptional results for our clients.Bring passion, motivation and enthusiasm to contribute to our culture and ensure it remains a place where everyone can thrive.Shine Lawyers: A place for you.
