Associate Art Director - League of Legends, Game Modes Sydney, AustraliaJob Id: REQ-0008207 We are seeking a leader who is deeply aligned with our product vision and excels at resolving any misalignment. You will collaboratively shape and impact all craft decisions within your team, ensuring the delivery of high-value results for both players and colleagues. As an accountable team leader, you are responsible for your team's deliverables and artistic quality, and you will partner with other disciplines to develop effective delivery methods.Effective communication is key in this role; you will ensure stakeholders and team members are well-informed and handle difficult conversations with empathy. You will build and maintain highly functional teams aligned with Riot's culture.You are adept at recognizing and addressing team health issues promptly, maintaining high performance standards, and coaching team members to meet expectations. You will handle conflicts calmly and compassionately, ensuring that no issues go unaddressed and that alignment across disciplines and initiatives is maintained.Responsibilities:Provide clear visual direction aligned with the Art Director's goalsDefine visual style and direction for multiple product featuresDevelop outsourcing strategies and documentationEnsure the team produces high-quality artwork that meets technical performance targetsPartner with Product and Delivery teams to provide visibility into team deliverables and velocityMaintain a healthy development pace for artistsReview final work, delivering feedback to ensure quality and consistencyEnsure IP cohesion and fidelity across projectsHold the team accountable to Riot's art quality and performance standardsFoster a diverse and inclusive team environment where all members feel valuedReduce noise, emotional friction, and toxic patterns within the teamBalance the needs of Riot with the needs of the teamRepresent the team's voice and direction to other teams and productsDrive the development of efficient art pipelinesRequired Qualifications:BA in Game Art Development (or equivalent experience)Experience as a Senior or Lead Artist10+ years of industry experience4+ years of management experienceFor this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players.
