Kennedys is looking for a full-time Associate with 2-5 years PAE to join our busy Insurance practice in Sydney. The successful person will work closely with two Partners and senior lawyers primarily on contentious and non-contentious coverage matters across numerous insurance lines and defence of regulatory and various professional indemnity claims.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Associate to play a key role in this stream of work with the support of paralegals in the wider team.
Team The broader insurance group in Sydney have extensive experience working with both domestic and international insurers amongst other corporates across multiple lines of work, with a particular depth of expertise in professional indemnity, financial institutions, directors' and officers' (D&O), property and construction, energy, cyber, marine, transport and commercial litigation / employment.
Clients General insurers and reinsurers Lloyds syndicates/ London market insurers Global composites Self-insured PLCs Required Experience and Qualifications Bachelor of Laws or equivalent Previous experience from a reputable insurance defence firm Ability to run with matters autonomously under supervision Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage own time, excellent organisation skills and attention to detail High level of professionalism and integrity; displaying the highest standard of professional ethics. This role will remain open from 11th November to 9th December inclusive.
