ILM Sydney is currently looking for a VFX Assistant Editor who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, collaborative mindset and passion for great filmmaking that define ILM. Your role? As a VFX Assistant Editor, you will help set up and complete all editorial work as requested by a Senior, Lead or Co-Editor on feature or episodic projects, with tasks including maintaining and updating editorial timelines for multiple artist disciplines. You will ideally have a Bachelor's Degree in Film or a related field; however, people are often successful if they have some experience and are keen to learn! What will you be doing? Keep project edits up to date with the latest client turnovers and QC daily department updates.Assist production and editorial teams to provide general editorial support; abbreviated cuts, updated sequences for internal and client reviews.Assist with processing client turnovers and maintaining editorial databases.Provide production and VFX departments with editorial reports and other editorial data.Work on broader ILM company editorial projects, including show archiving, marketing, and award reels.To be a contributing member of this team, you will have a mix of these skills: Ideally, 1+ years experience with Avid Media Composer or similar editing software.Confident ability to multitask and meet deadlines while working under tight schedules.Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.This position is with Lucasfilm Entertainment Company Ltd.
