Lead a thriving venue
An Assistant Venue Manager at BOUNCE helps lead a multi-million-dollar active entertainment business within a supportive network of national and international venues alongside their Venue Manager.
A central Head Office team provides leadership, systems and support around sales, marketing, finance, and people and culture.
Each BOUNCE venue welcomes over a million customers annually, delivering world-leading customer experience through a team of passionate staff that are developed and coached by the Venue Manager, Assistant Venue Manager and venue leadership team.
The Role
An Assistant Venue Manager role at BOUNCE is an opportunity to engage with and learn from a dynamic business every day. Reporting to the Venue Manager, you'll take charge of motivating and developing a young team, ensuring continuous growth and development for them throughout their BOUNCE journey and leading the venue to ongoing success. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Working to achieve KPI goals such as sales, labour, safety, venue presentation, customer experience, staff engagement and implementing strategies to improve these areas.
Having a passion for improving venue sales and repeat visitation.
Being a leader for safety in the venue by overseeing the implementation of safety initiatives, and accurately following and directing procedures in venue.
Coaching and developing your venue staff and supervisors aged roughly 16-24 years old, ensuring growth and development is accessible to all.
Assisting the Venue Manager in reading, responding, and acting upon customer feedback to continue enhancing the experience of guests in the venue and following up with team members.
Assisting the Venue Manager in managing expenses and keeping all controllable/variable P&L expense line items within budget.
Maintaining clean and safe venue presentation.
Cash handling, customer service, food preparation and safety implementation.
KPIs
As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will be playing an integral part in the setup, launch and ongoing success of a brand new venue for BOUNCE. Tied to this will be the managing of the day-to-day operations and KPI's, including:
Managing the venue's sales budget.
Labour to sales budget.
Customer feedback/NPS score.
Safety management.
COGS.
Staff engagement/NPS score.
As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will be trained in world's best practice customer service delivery and venue management systems.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Strong experience in team leadership and people management, particularly leading people aged 16-24.
A champion for an exceptional customer experience, with the ability to coach and mentor others.
A commercial mindset, with the ability to actively manage and work towards KPI's with your manager, specifically in relation to sales, customer experience, labour management and safety.
Ability to follow and execute to standard operating procedures, whilst also being able to provide insights and ideas as we strive to constantly upgrade our systems.
Willingness to roll up your sleeves to ensure the smooth operation of a complex venue, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and presentation and all equipment safe and well maintained.
Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with Head Office departments and national management teams.
