Assistant Trainer

Anthony & Sam Freedman Racing are looking for a dedicated Assistant Trainer to join our team.
The successful applicant will be based across both of our Cranbourne and Pinecliff bases, overseeing and assisting with the day-to-day management of our stables and business.
The role will include:
Management of daily operations and implement Trainer's training regime for each horse.Maintaining horse records in line with the Australian Rules Of Racing.Help foreman coordinate transport logistics for stable – Races, Trials, Jump Outs, Paddock.Help foreman with external suppliers including Vet, Farriers & Feed Companies.Work with the Trainers and Racing Manager to service owners.Create and harbour an inclusive working environment.Representing the stable at race meetings and liaise with Jockeys, Owners and Staff.Recognise injuries and illnesses in horses and ensure treatments.Competent English both verbal and written.Requirements: Good experience in a racing stable, preferably as a foreman.Be confident in handling and educating horses.Knowledge and understanding of Australian Rules of Racing.Aspire to uphold elite standards and communication.Knowledge of occupational health & safety protocols and best stable practices.Great remuneration package on offer for the right applicant.
