Assistant Trainer

Greg Eurell Thoroughbred Training Centre has had a rare opportunity come up at our busy stables located in Cranbourne. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Trainer to join our team. Reporting directly to Greg Eurell (our Head Trainer), the following skills and requirements are essential:
Proven ability to handle young and older horsesExcellent horsemanship skillsDemonstrated knowledge and proven experience to train and educate young and older horsesExperience in treating and managing minor injuriesAbility to maintain and prepare horse health/work records, track work schedules and training programsProven ability to operate and maintain hazardous equipment such as the treadmill and walkerStrong level of English skills both written and verbalAbility to manage and roster a great team of dedicated staffFlexibility to work early morning, afternoons and/or weekend shifts (as per the rotating roster requires)Jump Out/Official Trials/Race Day attendance to represent the stable to both owners and the mediaGreg Eurell Thoroughbred Training Centre can offer the right candidate an attractive above award salary depending on the level of skill and experience.
