Reporting directly to the Regional Financial Accounting Manager, you will partner with multiple stakeholders across the wider business and prepare monthly and yearly financial statements for a portfolio of shared venture stores across Australia and New Zealand.Your responsibilities will include:Ensuring accurate financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and the preparation of Profit and Loss statements while collaborating with various teams.Conducting accurate bank reconciliations for all store accounts.Communicating with store partners and stakeholders to provide accurate data for analysing store performance.Assisting the Tax Manager with the completion of year-end tax returns for all stores.Leveraging your accounting skills to enhance efficiency and excellence in a dynamic environment.At Specsavers, we believe in adopting a hybrid approach to support our people and the future of work. When not working from an alternate location, the Assistant Store Accountant will be based at our support office in Port Melbourne.The skills we are looking forThorough understanding of accounting principles with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholdersPart Qualified / Qualified CPA/CAHigh attention to detail with the ability to provide accurate information for analysis of store performanceIntermediate excel skills are essentialA driven and strong team player, with the ability to work to strict deadlinesAbout UsSpecsavers are rated the market leader for eye tests, the retailer of choice for contact lenses and one of the fastest growing hearing providers in Australia and New Zealand.
