As a member of the school's Religious Education team, the Assistant Religious Education Coordinator will play a key role in the development and implementation of Religious Education programs across the school, promoting Evangelisation initiatives, in building a thriving Catholic community. This position requires an outstanding educator with a well-developed capacity to take forward the evangelising mission of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney.
To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate proven experience in:
creating a faith community that brings the Gospel and teachings of the Catholic Church to all the students, families and staffcreating a contemporary, student-centred learning cultureinitiating and leading change and improvement to enhance learning for all students, especially in Religious Educationworking strategically, with an understanding of the school within the broader educational, ecclesial and community contextdeveloping collaborative partnerships to support student and staff faith journey, learning and well-being, especially in the context of evangelization.The successful candidate will also possess the following:
has completed, or has evidence of, study toward a Graduate Diploma or Master of Religious Education or Theology (desirable)Category D Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead in systemic Catholic schools Archdiocese of Sydney Accreditation. Category E Accreditation desirablea Baptised Catholic with demonstrated evidence of ongoing commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church and engagement in the life of a Catholic faith community such as a parish or an established community within the Catholic Church, as an expression of your relationship with Jesus Christability to demonstrate the standard descriptors at Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher Level in accordance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teacherspostgraduate units of study in Leadership (advantageous).Application Process Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
