Assistant Project Manager

Job Description Assistant Project Manager – Minor Works £37,000 doe Deeside, North Wales A great opportunity for an experienced HVAC and Fabric engineering professional with some leadership experience to join this large Facilities Management company. Your role will see you assisting the Project Manager in the programming and coordination of all labour, material, plant and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery of projects in the most effective, efficient and professional manner. You will need to pass enhanced security screening due to the nature of the site, and will need to hold a British Passport alongside ability to pass Baseline Personnel Security Clearance (BPSS) checks. Role & Responsibilities Ensuring operational efficiency by organizing, coordinating, controlling and supervising activities on site Efficiently and economically implementing the assigned tasks from start to finish, in line with agreed dates Ensure effective manpower management Justify all other resources such as materials, tools, equipment's etc. and report any shortages Ensure correctness of estimated cost for works to be executed on all jobs, in order to eliminate any chance of losses Preparation and submission of quotations and variation costs Complete supervision of both in-house teams and subcontractors Ensure that labour hours are recorded and booked on daily basis Arrange for regular site inspection to ensure standard of work Guidance and mentoring of all direct employees Ensure that Periodic Progress Reports are submitted Preparation of programmes, method statements and risk assessments. Review and develop designs to ensure coordination with the building structure and other associated services new and existing, to maintain systems integrity, compliances and adopt the most cost efficient methods Candidate Profile Experienced in HVAC building services, with experience in a supervisory capacity Good leadership and team building skills. Diploma Certificate or equivalent technical qualifications. Knowledge of design principles Experience in assisting quantity surveying, estimations and quotations Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge Commercially and financially astute Hold valid driving license In return you will receive a fantastic remuneration package which I am happy to discuss in further detail with successful applicants.
