The position will provide project management support to electrical project managers and supervisors. Key duties will include:
AMMS (Asset management) job creation, management and reportingUploading of SIMS reportSAP duties job creation and cost transfersDamage reporting and processing claimsContract administrationProcurement.This position will initially work as part of the electrical team based at our Hemmant depot; however, you need to be willing to rotate and work in other areas of the local operations depending on business needs.
Some responsibilities will include: Assist to project manage the delivery of assigned civil infrastructure projects and activities such as construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, and preconstruction.Assist to project manage construction and maintenance projects within the business unit, including budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling, and reviewing priorities.In consultation with the Project Manager, prepare tender prices, provide expert specialist input and advice into the construction and maintenance processes, assisting with production rates, unit rates, and local information.Provide operational expertise to the business unit on construction and operational matters relating to road and bridge civil infrastructure projects and or specialist areas.Implement and utilize project management techniques and management systems to assist in enhancing project performance.Identify, analyze and provide creative solutions for discussion with the Project Manager, then liaise and communicate effectively with project staff.Assist to capture and share project outcomes and learnings, implement and foster best practice technology and project management methodologies across TMR.Undertake contract administration of projects while liaising with the client, subcontractors, and suppliers.Maintain regular communication with relevant stakeholders on work availability and plan programming and prioritizing requirements.On projects, plan, assign, direct, supervise and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff, which will include encouraging teamwork and fostering a positive attitude towards organizational objectives.Areas of focus will be to ensure all quality, safety, and environmental management procedures are adhered to in order to facilitate the delivery of projects to a high standard for both TMR and other clients.Input is essential in order to manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to transport infrastructure activities.Mandatory qualifications and conditions: Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.A current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent.You may be required to travel to other locations to undertake activities for varying periods of time.
