About the role

We are looking for an Aboriginal Project Administrator who typically works on projects that are designed to benefit Aboriginal communities and their role includes a variety of administrative and project management tasks, often with a focus on culturally appropriate practices and community engagement.

Responsibilities Contribute to the design, execution, and coordination of projects to achieve effective business outcomes and meet client service delivery needs.Conduct research and perform analysis to aid in the development of key projects and process improvements, ensuring positive business results.Utilize project management methodologies and processes to maintain consistent, high-quality outcomes.Keep project documentation, including registers, updated to support project delivery in line with the agreed project management framework.Prepare standard project-related documents for key stakeholders, such as status updates, reports, budgets, and discussion papers, to manage information flow.Aid the project team with task completion and implementation of project plans to achieve agreed outcomes.Coordinate with various divisions within AHO and DPE, as well as non-government stakeholders, to ensure effective integration of program development, planning, service design, and policy implementation.Work collaboratively with team members, seek feedback, and contribute to mutual continuous development.Essential Criteria: Strong understanding of Aboriginal cultural beliefs and attitudes and of the socio-economic position of Aboriginal people within Australian society, and of their impacts in relation to housing. A thorough understanding of the Aboriginal political and historical impacts upon policy developments in NSW and nationally in relation to Aboriginal land rights, and Aboriginal land use.Aboriginal people who meet the following criteria:Are of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descentIdentify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander personAre accepted as such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communityBenefits Supportive and diverse workplace cultureProfessional Team EnvironmentOpportunities for career growth and development
