An exciting new opportunity has opened for an Assistant Product Manager to join our Small Business Services (SBS) Proprietary Charge Cards Product Management Team. We're on a mission with a renewed Product Line Strategy, Product Refresh Roadmap, and high-profile strategic initiatives for delivering and maintaining exciting new products, features, and benefits for our Business Customers (S MEs).

How will you make an impact in this role? Reporting into the SBS Proprietary Charge Cards Product Manager, you will be responsible for representing the voice of the customer, supporting the delivery of an optimum value proposition, whilst concurrently delivering long-term product profitability and upholding our brand values. You'll form a key part of the International Card Services (ICS) Charge Cards, Insurance and Benefits (CIB) Team.
Support effective management of SBS Proprietary Charge Cards portfolio across A/NZ and deliver on Product Line Strategy.
· Support execution and successful delivery of strategic initiatives in our roadmap; including effectively managing critical workstreams E2E.
· Support execution of value proposition enhancements including design and launch of new product benefits to deliver market leading value for SME Card Members.
· Lead with an external lens, by gathering customer insights and regular review of the competitor landscape to help inform compelling business cases.
· Deliver on core product management and actively lead in managing critical tasks and activities required to run the business such as support with creating and managing product collateral and assets, budget and invoice management, stock management, marketing communication approvals, etc.
· Ensure high standards of product compliance, identifying and addressing any operational or regulatory risks.
· Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (internal & external) to drive Net Promoter Score (customer satisfaction), customer engagement, and/or margin enhancements.
· Liaise with the internal marketing teams regarding product positioning, promotions, and go to market execution of campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications · Be a strategic thinker and self-starter with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
· Have strong commercial acumen, including ability to identify and size business opportunities.
· Have proven project management experience with discipline to manage multiple projects running concurrently.
· Be a team player who is flexible, open-minded and maintains a positive attitude even during changing work priorities.
· Have a bility to meet deadlines and excel in a complex environment, while maintaining high standards of personal excellence & integrity
· Be analytically minded with the ability to turn data and research into actionable insights.
· Be a customer advocate with a pulse of trends shaping demand.
· Have a good understanding of Amex products and competitive landscape.
· Have excellent written & oral communication and presentation skills to influence at all levels.
