St Teresa's College, Abergowrie is a Catholic secondary boy's boarding college located in an ideal rural setting in the heart of the Herbert River Valley, approximately 30 km northwest of Ingham.
About the role
St. Teresa's College, Abergowrie is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Principal - Learning and Teaching. This role shares with the Principal the responsibility for learning and teaching, developing high expectations of students and staff, and fostering a high-performance culture in the school.
The Assistant Principal - Learning and Teaching will assume a senior leadership role, working with staff to drive the development, implementation, and evaluation of teaching and student learning and growth across the school.

Mandatory Criteria/Professional Registration/Other
Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
Postgraduate qualification for a position of senior leadership in Catholic schools, including attainment of/commitment to the completion of a minimum of 8 semester units of postgraduate study in Religious Education, Scripture, Theology, or Catholic Ethos from an Australian Catholic university or institution.
Full accreditation to teach in a Catholic School and accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.
The capacity to enact leadership focused on living and sharing the Catholic faith, the Mission of the Church, and the Catholic school ethos.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
Current Driver's Licence.
Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville.
Five years of successful teaching experience, preferably across a range of year levels.
Masters or other postgraduate qualification in Theology, Religious Education, or Educational Leadership.
Evidence of educational, pastoral, theological, and managerial aspects of school leadership.
