About the role
We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Farm Manager to join our team onsite in across our Port Wakefield Farms, in our South Australian Region (Postcode 5550).
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Farm Manager to manage the day-to-day operations within cutting edge, tunnel ventilated broiler bird farms, providing strong leadership to a small team of approximately six to eight staff, in order to ensure cost effective and efficient bird production.
As the Assistant Farm Manager, you'll collaborate with, and provide support to, the farm manager through assisting with all of their duties and responsibilities.
About you
To be considered for the Assistant Farm Manager role, you will need to have at least two years' experience in supervisory roles within broiler/breeder farms.
You'll be confident in working closely with staff in order to provide guidance and support and take a collaborative approach as you work alongside the farm manager.
You are efficient, with excellent attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
You are a proven self-starter who is able to work well in a small team.
The successful applicant must have the right to work in Australia and be an open-minded, passionate, competent, and hands-on leader.
You will have high regard for Safety Health Environment and Quality and will work with our people to proactively support a positive WHS culture across the organisation.
