The ACT Parliamentary Counsel's Office is seeking applications from qualified people for the legislative drafting position of Assistant Parliamentary Counsel 3 ( APC3 ), which is a narrower band for lawyers with significant experience in providing legislative drafting services in a specialised legislative drafting office.The primary functions of an Assistant Parliamentary Counsel 3 (APC3) will be to:Provide legislative drafting services and legislative advice in matters requiring a high level of expertise and judgment, review the work of other drafters, and take a leading role in PCO committees and drafting projects with significant impact.Assist the parliamentary counsel in leadership, management, and building the capacity of PCO, including by developing and maintaining specialisation in areas of high relevance to the Territory's drafting needs.This position may involve direct supervision of staff.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experiences, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community.
