Management - Store (Retail & Consumer Products) Marine Culture is a privately owned business that has been producing, selling and marketing premium quality oysters since 1989.
We seek a highly motivated and organised individual with a hands-on approach to fill a new role as an Assistant Manager to support our current team members at our oyster farm located at Spring Bay, Tasmania. Extensive knowledge of the oyster industry with management experience is essential to be considered for this position.
Our Spring Bay lease is located in a peaceful bay with the primary function to grow oysters and supply our Boomer Bay farm.
Job Responsibilities: Assist Farm Manager by performing related duties Proven ability to co-ordinate farm operations and fostering teamwork to ensure maximum productivity Exceptional observational, problem solving and decision making skills Support team members by communicating job expectations and appraising job results Excellent leadership skills to manage, motivate and train staff Ability to coach, counsel and discipline employees Assist in developing, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards Minimum Requirements: Extensive knowledge of aquaculture farming Vehicle Licence Coxswains Certificate High Risk Work Licence (Forklift) Computer Skills (Excel, Word) Remuneration will be negotiated according to the candidate's knowledge, skills and experience.
