About the team Established in 2017, the DISR Shared Services Hub delivers Aurion-based payroll services to 13 Australian Government agencies, and finance system administration services to 4 agencies using TechOne.
The Hub's reputation for delivering high quality and value for money payroll services is driving its expansion, and it is currently onboarding a further 2 agencies to its payroll service, with further growth expected.
The opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver payroll services for a wide range of government agencies.
You will also be involved in whole of government initiatives related to shared services.
As the Hub expands it is reviewing its costing methodology and operating model to ensure that it is structured to best deliver on our service offer for our clients, efficiently transition new clients into the Hub, and build capability pathways for staff.
The vacancy is in our support team and encompasses a broad range of financial management activities, including invoicing, budgeting and forecasting through to development of our cost model and pricing arrangements.

What you will do In this role, you will: manage invoicing arrangements.
develop annual budgets.
complete monthly forecasting.
undertake monthly accrual processes.
provide timely and accurate financial performance information, advice and commentary.
provide strategic and operational financial advice for the Shared Services Hub.
develop cost modelling and pricing arrangements.
drive financial process improvement.
collaborate with Managers on financial matters such as budget development and forecasting.
build and maintain professional working relationships.
Eligibility Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/ Economics/ Accounting or similar.
CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
Notes A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette.
The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles.
This vacancy is ACT - Industry House based, although flexible or remote work arrangements may be considered.
