Delivering a guest experience unlike any other paired with lavish amenities, magnificent architecture, and refined interiors, Capella Sydney is becoming the ultimate destination hotel for both local and international guests alike, establishing it as one of the finest hotels in the world.Position SummaryDue to an internal promotion, we are seeking a skilled Assistant Manager - Events Operations to lead our small but dynamic team in delivering seamless and high-class events at our prestigious luxury five-star hotel.
We host 7 unique and intimate spaces designed for a high-level experience with seamless service.Your Key Responsibilities:Lead and inspire a team to deliver flawless, upscale guest service in all event-related matters.Oversee daily operations, ensuring all team members follow service standards, policies, and procedures.Organise and manage various internal hotel events.Collaborate with various departments and external vendors (Audiovisual, Florist, Decorator) to maintain the highest service quality.Ensure all equipment and event spaces meet hygiene, safety, and maintenance standards.Maintain records of breakages, feedback, and suggestions to optimise inventory and event processes.Keep the team updated on hotel services, promotions, and events to provide guests with accurate information.Assist and facilitate the Event Operations Manager.Talent ProfileDiploma / Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, specializing in beverage service / events management is of advantage.Experience in a similar role at luxury hotels / resorts.Working alcohol service knowledge (i.e., wine service).Knowledge / Certification in HACCP is of advantage.Good command of written and spoken English.Competent computing skills (e.g., Microsoft Word).Valid working rights in Australia.Working with Capella Sydney:Embark on a venture with Sydney's newest Luxury Hotel, an experience like no other.Be a part of likeminded team members who share knowledge to be successful.Work with beautifully crafted spaces and amenities in a Heritage building.Complimentary hotel meals.Uniform provided and laundered.Ability to grow and develop within and opportunities with the group.Enjoy a competitive salary, benefits, and a supportive work culture that champions excellence.Kindly be informed that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
