Duties:As a delegate of the Commissioner of Police, assist the Manager of Firearms Services to lead a multi-disciplinary team to administer the Firearms Act 1996 in accordance with departmental guidelines and within an agreed risk framework, ensuring consistency with the National Firearms Agreement and other policies. Participate in state and national policy development relevant to the management of firearms and weapons controls.

Arson and fire setting;Sexual offences;Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);Violent crimes and crimes against the person;Malicious damage and destruction to property;Trafficking of narcotic substance;Tertiary or industry recognised qualifications and/or professional affiliations in a relevant discipline are desirable as is experience in undertaking roles of a similar nature, policy development and project management tasks.
