With the aim of ensuring the provision of outstanding care in one of South Australia's finest community Aged Care Facility, this is a fantastic opportunity to join Strathalbyn & Districts Health Service, based in Strathalbyn. Enjoy flexibility and a great work-life balance, you will support Enrolled and Registered Nurses/Midwives in the delivery of general resident care and undertake basic nursing duties that would otherwise have been performed by an Enrolled or Registered Nurse/Midwife. As an Assistant in Nursing, your duties may include routine technical support functions at the level of setting up for nursing/midwifery procedures, cleaning equipment, managing local stock levels, and assisting consumers with activities of daily living. Contributing to the maintenance of a physically and culturally safe environment for patients and staff, you will actively participate in quality improvement activities.
You must be enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in nursing or midwifery and have completed training required for the safe and competent performance of work at this level or currently undertaking an approved course. Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. With the ability to effectively communicate with people from all walks of life, you will be capable of working with people with a range of diverse value systems, cultural differences, and special needs. In addition, you will bring good organisation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality within a complex environment.
