The Role: A diverse, challenging role largely dependent on fieldwork (kayaking, hiking, working from boats, 4WD'ing) accompanied with data management, client liaison and project management responsibilities.

The day to day Hands on role, with a strong focus on teamwork, reliability, and initiative, Routine visitation and maintenance of remote environmental monitoring sites, consisting mainly of stream flow monitoring stations, Collect and verify environmental data using specialist software packages and scientific instruments, Accurate Record keeping including field notes, photographs, and maps, Assisting in the upgrade of old, and installation of new environmental monitoring stations, including the use of a wide range of hand and power tools.
The Essentials: Proficient in the use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools or willingness to learn.
Environmental science or trades quals and/or experience, A proactive mindset, able to work both independently and co-operatively, Physically fit with an affinity for working outdoors, competent swimmer, Electronics / mechanical aptitude Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook) Manual drivers license Working at ALS Our people drive our success at ALS.
