We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified science educator to join our collaborative department as Assistant Head of Science from Term 1, 2025 in a full-time capacity.
The role involves, but is not limited to: Working closely with the Head of Science to deliver quality teaching and learning experiences for all students (Chemistry or Physics and Junior Science).Fostering a culture of trust and respect within the department to build collective efficacy.Assisting in overseeing the management of the science curriculum, programs and associated administration.Stepping in for the Head of Science when necessary.We encourage and support our staff to: Actively support the Catholic ethos of the College and engage with the wider College community.Work collaboratively to deliver a future focused education to our students.Confidently differentiate the curriculum to create an inclusive learning environment.Participate in ongoing professional development within their subject area.Meet the child safe program standards and provide a safe and supportive environment for our students.The role is 0.9FTE teaching and 0.1FTE Leadership, with a Level 1 Leadership Allowance.
