St Joseph's Nudgee College (Est. 1891) is a Catholic Boys' Day and Boarding school in the Edmund Rice tradition for Years 5-12, with a student population of approximately 1730, including 315 boarders. The College caters for students from the local Brisbane area, regional and remote Queensland, interstate and overseas. We uphold the values of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) in providing quality Catholic education to students. The College is a member of the GPS Association and focuses upon providing a balanced holistic education for all.
The Nudgee Boarding Community is a 'home away from home' for 315 boarders. We boast four modern boarding houses, all located in the heart of the college within one village. In July this year we were announced as the Best Boarding College in Australia.
The Role
The College is seeking to employ an experienced and committed teacher with Boarding experience to undertake this role, which will commence 20 January 2025.
As part of the house leadership team, the Assistant Head of Boarding House is accountable for the effective leadership and day-to-day management of one of the four Boarding Houses.
While this is a teaching role, the teaching component is 80% of the normal teacher load.
The remuneration package for this position includes:
Teacher classification (as applicable)
Responsibility Allowance of $8,767pa
On-site accommodation
Use of all College facilities
