Assistant Farm Manager - Poultry Farming (Goolgowi) Ready to start your new career in the poultry industry in 2025?! APG Workforce is seeking an experienced Assistant Farm Manager for a poultry farm in Goolgowi, near Griffith, NSW.
Our client is a growing agribusiness specializing in poultry farming across Australia and New Zealand, with over 30 years of industry experience.
Role Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Farm Manager to support the Farm Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of a modern broiler chicken farm. Your main focus will be the welfare of the chickens, maintaining high facility standards, and meeting performance targets. You will lead a team of up to 10 staff and manage relevant contractors.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and report on KPIs and farm metrics. Promote continuous improvement in animal welfare, quality, productivity, and safety. Ensure compliance with biosecurity, health and safety, environmental, and animal welfare standards. Maintain strong relationships with company representatives. Implement best practices for optimal bird growing conditions. Train, motivate, and lead the farm team to achieve high-quality outcomes. Maintain the farm's presentation and facilities to high standards. Requirements: At least 3 years of experience managing or assisting with broiler farms. Strong people management and industrial relations skills. Proven experience in Workplace Health and Safety management. Ability to manage key stakeholder relationships effectively. A focus on continuous improvement and innovative problem-solving. Basic on-site maintenance skills. Knowledge of budgeting and cost management. Must have the right to work in Australia (Australian citizen, resident, or valid work visa holder). What's on Offer: Competitive salary package ($75,000 - $95,000 base per year) plus super, with performance-based incentives/bonuses. Onsite 4-bedroom accommodation with utilities included.
