We are currently seeking a highly-skilled individual to join our team. You will have a meaningful role in leading your extended contractor and support teams to transform spaces into workplaces and engineering sites in Australia. You will help develop and run these properties in innovative and sustainable ways. This role would suit an experienced facility engineer looking to take their career to the next level. Applicants should be adept at forming lasting working relationships with suppliers and be able to clearly communicate with Apple business functions & customers at all levels.
DescriptionThis role will include but is not limited to:
Facilities ManagementResponsible for site facilities operation in designated buildings. Lead and control shift operation team to ensure building systems operate smoothly.Assess works performed by operation team and services delivered by third parties. Review service reports/checklists and ensure documentation is in line with stakeholders' expectation and engineering standards.Work with FM partners and specialist vendors to optimise planned preventive maintenance program.Review and improve existing SOPs. Establish EOPs for critical environment and roll out for operation team members.Attend to complaints or abnormalities and solve the issues timely.Plan and forecast annual operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) for routine and reactive maintenance projects.Track utility consumption and implement energy management and optimisation programs.Partner with EHS team to develop green initiatives and execute to reduce company's carbon footprint.Mentor and coach operation team members to further develop competencies.Take ownership and ensure that the condition and safety of office premises are in compliance with relevant regulatory and group policies and procedures.Develop concise communications suitable for all levels of management e.g. Incident reports, Feasibility reports, Progress reports, return on investment/cost assessments.Follow-up with Apple stakeholders on site services delivery, issues, risks and results.Embrace teamwork, encourage and inspire each other among team members to achieve common goals.Provide coverage for Australia FM when on leave or traveling.Project CoordinationCollaborate with Apple design and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within deadlines.Assist in project planning, scheduling and resource allocation.Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports.Coordinate project meetings, document minutes and follow up on action items.Maintain project documentation and ensure data accuracy.Technical KnowledgeUtilize engineering background/knowledge to troubleshoot technical issues.Collaborate with Apple Regional Engineering team to implement solutions and improvements.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance operations.CommunicationMaintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.Act as a liaison between project teams, vendors and the operation team.Address inquiries and provide timely responses to resolve issues.Minimum QualificationsDegree qualified in related field, e.g.: Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration.Proven experience in project coordination or a similar role.Technical background or knowledge in engineering or hard services is a significant advantage.Understand the business of Real Estate & Development in a dynamic multi-national environment.Experience in building services and planned preventive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems delivery to meet compliance and operation requirements are essential.Experience in project management.Preferred QualificationsGood problem-solving and crisis management skill obtained through years of experience in troubleshooting building maintenance and management problems, and handling crisis situations.Ability to multi-task and deliver parallel work streams to deadlines.Self-starter and capable individual contributor.Clear thinking with strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Team player, able to meet tight deadlines with ability to organise and prioritise.Ability to facilitate conversations with key stakeholders that build trust and understanding Excellent oral & written communication skills.Flexible working hours with 'can-do' work ethic.
