We work to improve the lives of older people by maintaining the integrity of the aged care system.As the single independent regulator of Australian Government aged care services, we offer a variety of interesting and challenging jobs across most capital cities.It is an exciting time to join the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, with major reforms underway to improve aged care in Australia. You will be contributing to our role as the national regulator to safeguard and protect older Australians receiving aged care services.About the RoleAs the leader of the Operations, Data and Analytics team you will manage, develop, deliver and ensure the quality and accuracy of workforce data and reporting capability within the Commission.Position DutiesEstablish and maintain effective and accurate workforce data and reporting systems, methodologies, policies, processes, and procedures.Lead the Data and Analytics Team, monitor work progress and the delivery of key projects.Design, build and maintain operational and strategic workforce dashboards (for example in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel) to be used by people leaders and senior executives.Use People & Culture information systems, SAP and other reporting tools to generate data for routine and ad hoc workforce reporting.Support the quality assurance of reporting and data outputs to ensure they are accurate and fit for purpose.Provide high quality and timely advice to internal stakeholders, through supporting business areas to identify underlying factors contributing to workforce metrics and provide insights to explore how these could be addressed.Fostering a quality data culture through communications, resources, and advice.Provide leadership in translating government policies into strategies and practices that support the Commission's and the Government's objectives.Apply work knowledge, policy, procedures and guidelines to support the consistent management and system improvement of the Data and Analytics function.Develop and maintain continuous improvement practices through regular review of the effectiveness reporting.Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria)Experience leading effective teams - including work, engagement, wellbeing and performance management.Demonstrated experience in setting up and or leading a data and analytics function.Experience with use of data modelling tools, including Microsoft Power BI or similar tool.Excellent ability to use clear and influential communication skills to develop productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Proven strategic and critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.Position NotesSalary offered will be between $114,247 - $130,300 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.Only candidates who hold Australian citizenship can apply. Appointment is conditional on successfully completing a national police check.Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term.
