Assistant Director, Security and Emergency ManagementFull-time PermanentDetails: Transport Canberra and City Services (TCCS) are looking for a new Assistant Director in the Security and Emergency Management team and it could be you.While supporting all areas of TCCS; no two days in the Security and Emergency Management Team are ever the same.The role is a critical linchpin in the Directorate's internal emergency management arrangements as well as in wider Whole of Government activities in response to emergencies.The successful applicant will be responsible for:Ensuring that TCCS meets its obligations under the Emergencies Act 2011.Increasing the capacity of the Directorate's Liaison Officer Pool.Documenting, maintaining and testing TCCS emergency management arrangements.Identifying systematic improvements and managing these to completion.Being part of the team that enacts these improvements, which may include being a critical member of a coordinated Whole of Government response.You will be able to communicate with staff at all levels, including senior executives, and represent TCCS in Whole of Government working groups and meetings.The role also supports the Senior Director in the team's protective security functions and activities.
